I (Kelly)  was hired by a company to do outside sales. Two weeks after being hired, my computer froze and I continued to have problems with my computer through out the day. We outsourced an IT company and our technician was pretty much on the phone with me all day. The next day, we went out to lunch. That was the first day of the end of my fast. I met Paul and almost instantly knew he was the one. I laid down everything I believed in the day before and told him how Jesus Christ was the most important thing in my life. Paul shared with me that he grew up in the church and had accepted Christ earlier in his life, but had fallen from his faith. He was taken aback and slightly intimidated of my faith in God and my love for Him. However, I challenged him to pray for wisdom and discernment. He knew right away that God was pursuing him. Even after I laid down all the ground rules to dating me, he still wanted to engage in a relationship Not only did I lay down the foundations for what I expected morally, but also how I expected him to truly cultivate a real relationship with God and other believers. God completely showered him with astounding love the first Sunday we were dating when he agreed to come to church with me. Our church worships in a very contemporary fashion. That Sunday, however was extremely different. For the only time that I had been there in 4yrs, my worship leader sang in a quartet for worship. God called to Paul using his passion. Paul’s passion is singing. He sang in a competitive barbershop chorus for many years. Tears of joy ran down my face and I fell madly in love all over again with my Savior. I could not believe how he was affirming His love for Paul. Something in my heart told me that this was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. Paul met Chloe about a week into us dating. She was a little reluctant at first, but Paul put on the charm and she couldn’t resist. The two of them get along famously. He joined a bible study and attends it faithfully every week. His walk has catapulted amazingly. Whenever I questioned if this was God’s will for me, I would pray and meditate and every time He would question me, “Kelly, why won’t you accept the gift that I am giving you? Why won’t you trust me when this is all that you have ever wanted?” So, I did.
